Lust Have It! November 2014

I received the November edition* of LHI on the 25th of November. Not only are LHI improving their product inclusions, they're managing to step up their game entirely by ensuring that boxes are arriving within the specified month! Well, hopefully everyone else receives their box within November...

If you were impressed with last month, I think you will also love this months contents...

L-R
The Cosmetic Kitchen Pressed Mineral Blush in Sherbert
Natralus Paw Paw Pure Gel
So Susan Water Based Luminizer

The Cosmetic Kitchen Pressed Mineral Blush RRP $34.95
Oh heck yes, I love blush! Who doesn't? I really like their loose powder blush that we received a few months ago and use it a fair bit. I'm not so sure this colour will show up on my complexion, though. I'm still excited to give it a go!

Natralus Paw Paw Pure Gel RRP $6.15
This sounds like it might be better than Lucas' version of paw paw? I'm sure this product will come in handy at some point.

So Susan Water Based Luminizer RRP $35
I think this product excited me the most out of the lot. It is absolutely gorgeous (swatches below)!

L-R
Swatch of Cosmetic Kitchen Blush in 'Sherbert'
Swatch of So Susan Luminizer

Both gorgeous, right? The luminizer is so sparkly in the sunlight. It reminds me a bit of my all time fave illuminator, the Nude by Nature highlighter, except a bit more sparkly. I think it would suit night time wear, it might be too sparkly for wearing out in the sun.

Essenzza Natural Japanese Silk Facial Treatment Masks
Aveda Color Conserve

Essenzza Treatment Masks RRP $4.95 each
I've never gotten into silk/cloth masks, but these have got me intrigued. The citrus and pineapple sounds delicious...almost like a cocktail! I have already used a face mask today, so this will have to wait for another day.

Aveda Color Conserve RRP $49.95 for 100g

Aveda...again. I'm a little over seeing Aveda! Anyway, I am getting my balayage redone in a few days so this will probably come in handy.

Overall, I think this box is great and I'm quite excited about the cheek products. What did you think of this months box?

Joli Natural Skin Care review

Hi everyone! Today I'm reviewing some skin care products* by Joli Natural - an Australian owned, natural and vegan skin care company. Joli products are hand made with natural ingredients such as essential oils, to maximise the benefits for your skin. Sounds cool, right? I'm always interested in trying out more natural skin care products because reading all those articles about how everyday chemicals (like SLS) can lead to cancer creeps me out! Anyway, let's have a look at the products I have been trialing over the last month.

 L-R
Fluffy Lime Eye Cream
Light Moisturiser with neroli and ylang ylang
Whipped Cream Moisturiser
Soothing Salve (sample)

These are the products I've received and I'm going to discuss the first three in a bit more depth. My first impressions from the packaging were great - I enjoy the simplistic packaging as it makes it feel 'homemade'.

Both the rich cream and the facial moisturiser have been incorporated into my daily routine. I use the moisturiser in the morning after cleansing and before makeup, and the rich cream is applied after cleansing at night.

The facial moisturiser has the consistency of a light lotion and it absorbs quite quickly with no greasy residue. This is perfect because I'm not a fan of moisturisers that leave a film behind because it shows through foundation. This is great at hydrating my skin without making me feel sticky/greasy and my makeup sits well over freshly hydrated skin! I normally don't moisturise my neck/decollete (did I spell that right?) because I don't like it feeling sticky, but since using this, I have been!

As for the smell, I'm not sure how to describe it but it reminds me of lavender. The smell is quite mild and doesn't linger.

Ingredients: pure water, almond oil, emulsifying wax, rosehip oil, cypress essential oil, chamomile extract, vitamin e, pro vitamin b5, citrus seed extract, natural preservative.

As you can see, this moisturiser is packed full of goodness. I'm sure you will identify a few skin care favourites in there such as rosehip oil and Vitamin E (well these are some of my faves anyway) and not only are these ingredients good for moisturising, they're great for reducing scarring/dark marks. This is good for me because I've got some hyperpigmentation marks left over from evil blind pimples. Hopefully these will fade over time with the help of this moisturiser!

Now let's talk about the rich cream. Out of all the products I received, this one was easily my favourite! I love the consistency of it, its just like whipped cream and feels so light to apply over my skin. It sinks in quickly also, which I love. I used to skip night cream more often than not because I hated going to bed with a greasy feeling face. This cream is super hydrating with a light texture so its perfect for me. It also smells delish - like jasmine flowers.

Ingredients: pure aqua, sweet almond oil, shea nut butter, cocoa butter, emulsifying wax, stearic acid, essential oil or fragrance, citrus seed extract, natural preservative.

Some more hydration favourites in here - shea butter and cocoa butter! I absolutely love using these products on my body so it seems fair to use them on my face.

First of all - this smells like lime sorbet! This cream, like the others, also has a light texture. It indeed does feel 'fluffy' and very airy. Does that make sense? Again, hydration meets a non-greasy texture. I don't use this every day as I'm usually in a hurry in the mornings, but when I do, I find that my dark circles appear less evident and more plump. I'm not a fan of under eye concealer so this is a good alternative.

Ingredients: pure aqua, apricot kernel oil, jojoba oil, emulsifying wax, glycerine, vitamin E, lime essential oil, citrus seed extract, natural preservative.

I do enjoy using apricot oil on my skin so I can understand how it benefits dark eye circles!

I also received a sample of the soothing salve. It has a consistency similar to Vaseline (but much less thick/greasy) and in fact in the hotter weather I've found that it becomes more liquid. It has a mild herbal smell. The soothing salve is designed to help with skin irriations without clogging the skin. I've actually been using it on insect bites (apparently I'm a magnet for mossies and green ants these days) and it helps reduce the itch.

Do I have anything negative to say? Not really, I'm pretty happy with everything! The only possible downside is that while these products are light/hydrating, I'm wondering if they would be hydrating enough to deal with my scaly winter skin. Only time will tell. So far so good!

If I've caught your interest, it doesn't just end at skin care - Joli also have lip products (which I know we all love), bath goodies (choc orange truffle bath ball anyone?!) and even baby friendly items.

Thanks for reading xx

October Empties

Hello everyone, and welcome to my empties for the month...

L-R
Dove Purely Pampering Nourishing Body Wash in Shea Butter/Vanilla
Sally Hansen Nail Polish Remover
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength polish
Ulta3 polish

Dove Body Wash
This was indeed quite nourishing for my skin and didn't leave it feeling dry (thanks to the shea butter) so I found it great to use through winter. The smell was fairly average though. I'd like to try out a different scent in this range.

Sally Hansen polish remover
This appears in my empties more often than not!

Garnier Cleansing Water
This stuff is cheap and awesome. I use this on a daily basis and it's super convenient. I do also have Bioderma but barely use it because its so expensive. This is so much cheaper so I have no hesitations in using it as much as I need to. I find it does sting my eyes a little bit while trying to remove mascara but nothing major - I've experienced a lot worse. Will definitely repurchase.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish
Not much to say here, old and gluggy. I've had it for about 5 years so its done well.

Ulta3 Polish
This colour is very pretty, but it went gluggy after a few months. I find my Ulta3 polishes thicken up within a year but you get what you pay for I guess.

So thats my trash for the month. Nothing too exciting really. What have you been using up lately?

Lust Have It! October 2014

Hello everyone! I disappeared for a while, but let me explain. Life is so hectic at the moment. I'm doing a four week block of placement at uni, so I'm doing 40 hours during the week + working on weekends as usual + trying to get prepared for end of year exams as my time at uni comes to an end. Oh, also I went through a few job interviews so I now have secured a full time job for next year! I also joined a gym, to add to my already exploding schedule. Hopefully things calm down soon...

Anyway, moving on, we have the Lust Have It! October edition*. It arrived a few days ago but I think it was worth the wait. The contents are quite good!

Lust Have It! contents

 Montague Jeunesse Clay Spa Mask
Colour by TBN Lipstick
Glamourflage Awesome Eve Eye Mask
Nuxe Huile Prodiguese
Inika Black Kohl Pencil
So Susan Eyeshadow Palette

Montague Jeunesse Clay Spa Mask RRP $5
I've never tried one of these but I see them around everywhere. Hopefully it will be good to try out.

Colour by TBN Lipstick RRP $2.50
I've seen a lot of reviews on these and they seem decent! I'm not too keen on the colour I got though...so I'm not sure I will use it. Does anyone in my area (Newcastle, NSW) know of any local stockists?

Glamourflage Eye Mask RRP $7.95
Always handy to have! I finally have a day off so after this I might pop this on and have a nap....

Nuxe Huile Prodiguese RRP $24.95 for 50mL (10mL sample)
I'm excited about this - Nuxe is a raved about brand that I haven't tried because of their price. It's great to see a proper sample in here.

Inika Black Kohl Pencil RRP $29.95
A girl can never have too many eye pencils. I've heard a lot of good things about this brand so I'm keen to give it a go. I generally prefer liquid liners but this is a great opportunity to try something new.

So Susan Eyeshadow Palette RRP $35
I've never heard of this brand. The colours in the palette I received are not ones that I use (I prefer neutrals) but I know that purples are supposed to look good with brown eyes so I'll have to give it a go!

Overall, I think this box/bag is awesome value. There are some great brands/products in here and I'm pleased to see several full sized items.

What are your thoughts on this months LHI?

The Waiting Game

Confession: I am a lip product hoarder. But it gets worse, I have so many that have never been used! How does this happen? I blame sales, my attraction to pretty colours and of course, my love of lipstick. Here's a peek at just a few of the ones that are sitting around, waiting for their turn...

 L-R
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 'Back to the Fuschia'
Essence Long Last Lipstick in 'Wear Berries!'
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 'Sloane's Plum'
Revlon Lip Butter in 'Sorbet'

L-R
Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in 'Whimsical'
Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in 'Ma-Li-Boo'
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 'Sultry'
Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in 'Adorned'
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 'Ole flamingo'

Sadly, that's not the end of it. Theres a few more lipsticks floating around waiting for love, but I think you get the idea! I suppose the main reasons for not having used these is the fact that I haven't had any 'bright lipstick' occasions to go to lately. I'm more inclined to have a few casual drinks at a bar than hit up the clubs, so a less dramatic lip usually is enough. Also, some of the formulations (such as the moisture ones) may not have the lasting power I desire to survive a night of drinks. And if I'm with the boyfriend, I avoid sticky or transferable glosses for obvious reasons.

First world problems.

Do you find yourself in this situation too?

Winter Empties

What empties did I accumulate by the end of winter? Let's see...

Benefit They're Real Mascara (sample size)
The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel
Palmer's Olive Body Butter Tub
Lucas' Papaw Ointment
Dirty Works Coconut Body Btter
Nail Tek Foundation II
Sally Hansen Nail Polish Remover
Britney Spears Curious perfume mini size

Benefit They're Real Mascara
If you've seen some of my FOTD/FOTN posts, you'll see I use this a lot! I do love it, but I probably wouldn't actually buy it because it's kind of expensive. I've still got a few sample sizes floating around for now.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Gel
I love TBS, but this did nothing at all. I don't generally have much success with spot treatments so it was wishful thinking. Not repurchasing. Anyone have a recommendation for me?

Palmers Olive Body Butter
Omg. Love! This was sooo good for my skin and smelt amazing. Sadly, the tub version isn't available anymore, but I might try out the lotion form.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment
One of those handy products to always have around. I do like it, but I think I might go for a petrochemical free alternative now.

Dirty Works Body Butter
Not empty, but I'm over it. I didn't find it to be very hydrating throughout winter and the smell is starting to bother me.

Nail Tek Foundation II
This stuff is the best! It helps to keep my nails strong, and works an excellent base coat. I've been using it for years and swear by it. It still has a bit left in it but its gone gluggy. Already repurchased 2 bottles.

Sally Hansen Nail Polish Remover
You always see this in my empties! Still have a few bottles stocked up.

Britney Spears Curious perfume
This smells really nice but I probably wouldn't repurchase. I've got way too many other perfumes on the go at the moment.

That's my empties collection for winter. What did you use up this winter?

Winter Favourites

I've decided to dedicate a post to a few products that I adored and used a lot throughout winter. It's only a short list, but I really felt a strong appreciation for these products!

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy EDP Perfume
Rimmel Color Rush Balm in 'Keep Mauving'
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Smitten'
Essence Metal Glam Highlighter
Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in '86 Ebloui'

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
If you like sweet scents, this might be for you. I definitely love sweet fruity tones in a perfume. I'm not the best at describing how perfumes smell, so I'm borrowing a descrption from Frangrantica - ' gourmet floral fragrance, which opens with notes of wild berries and juicy mandarin. The heart encompasses a floral blend of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine, while the base notes await us with a gourmet rhapsody of amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and pralines'. I do get compliments when I wear it; my boyfriend likes it and my mum does too, she even wants to buy herself one. I have the 50mL size which I purchased from StrawberryNet. Very very good investment.

Rimmel Color Rush Balm
I bought this a while ago, because I was excited to see Rimmel release their own range of balm stains. Little did I know at the time, I was about to fall in love. The pigmentation is great and it is super creamy to apply. It feels very moisturising, and I find the colour does last quite a while. It fades to a nice pretty pink. This is a very wearable shade that I've been wearing to work and for casual days out. I've been sussing out the other colours, but they haven't really struck my fancy.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
Hands up who doesn't own one of these? C'mon, you totally have to get on the band wagon! These have a good name for a reason. Another great formula that doesn't feel drying on application with amazing pigmentation. This gorgeous berry-toned red colour lasts all night through dinner and many drinks, so I'm definitely impressed. It does sink into lip lines a little though, but I still love this immensely. For the past 2 months, I think I've worn this for every night out I've had, which is saying something. I have such a large lip product collection that I do like to rotate products usually. One point I will make though, is that my lips do feel rather dry the next day. The trade-off for long wear lip products, I guess.

Essence Metal Glam Highlighter
I believe this is no longer available (however, I think Essence still has their 'Bloom Me Up' Collection still available which features a highlighter), sorry to get you excited! Anyway, this is very very similar to The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer. It's a less pigmented version of it, which sometimes can be good. I feel like with the upcoming hotter (sweaty!) months, I won't need as intense pigmentation so this will work well. I've been really enjoying the super subtle glow this gives.

Chanel D'Ombre Illusion Eyeshadow
My eyeshadow collection has been very neglected as of late. However, I've been really enjoying the wine/berry tones lately so this has gotten some use. It applies quite sheer and comes out a little more woody coloured, but I love how subtle it is. I prefer this formula to the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's because its much lighter and easier to apply.

So as you can tell, I'm quite attached to these products right now! Have you been loving these products too?

Spring Cleaning

So seeing as spring is finally with us, I've decided to do a massive clear-out of my bedroom. I've just eliminated tons of old clothes from my wardrobe which are ready to go off to the Salvos. Of course, my makeup collection wasn't spared from the clean out...

Savvy Lipstick in 'Sugar Rose'
MUA Lipstick Shade 3
BOE Beauty Jumbo Wind UP Lips in 'Manic Pink'

All of these are pretty colours, but honestly, I don't reach for them. The first two have been replaced by very similar shades by MAC. I love MAC's Sweetie lipstick because its a pretty pink, similar to Sugar Rose, but a lot less frosty which I find makes it more wearable. And as for the MUA Shade 3, I posted a while back about how it was an almost dupe for MAC's Girl About Town, you can read the post here. The BOE crayon is lovely in terms of pigmentation and texture, but this colour looks like pink highlighter on my lips and I can't pull it off!

Designer Brands Van Gogh palette
BYS Diamond Shadow palette
SAVVY Graduating Bronzer
Savvy Pressed Powder

The eyeshadow palettes have not been used much at all, but they are not colours that I generally go for. I don't feel bad about throwing these out as they only cost about $5 each. With the bronzer, I don't even wear bronzer, so it seems pointless to have. And the pressed powder is okay, but the Rimmel Stay Matte powder beats the pants off it!

Are you doing any spring cleaning of your makeup collection this month?

SC Perfume Review

I was recently contacted by SC Perfume to see if I would like to try out some of their testers*. I jumped at the opportunity because who doesn't love perfume? I was given $10 store credit, which enabled me to purchase 5 testers, as each sample vial is only $2 each! How great is that?

One thing I absolutely loved about the site is the ability to browse by scent e.g. floral, oriental, fruity and the list goes on. I'm definitely a fruity perfume gal so I enjoyed this option. Let's have a look at what I ended up selecting...

 My order!

My order came housed in a green bag and contained the 5 samples that I ordered, as well as a full sized perfume that a kind soul from SC Perfume added to my order. Thanks guys!

So on the website, there is a little description of each perfume, as you see above. The samples came in a zip lock bag with an info card and the vial. This is great, because I'm not very good at describing perfumes, so I'll let the cards do the talking! Cindy No. 5 is what I'd call a sexy, musky night time  perfume that actually reminds me a lot of Dior's Poison.

Cindy No. 56 is a sweet floral that is perfect for spring time wear.

Cindy Pretty is a powdery floral scent with the vanilla being quite noticeable. I think this one is one of my favourites out of the lot.

DeAndre Delicate Touch is a crisp floral scent with a hint of citrus tang. To be honest, while this perfume is nice, I think its something that's not overly unique and its something I feel like I've smelt a lot in the past. But this is just my opinion, so you may love it!

Out of all the testers, Miss Vietnam Hanoi Platinum is probably my favourite! You can definitely notice the fruity and vanilla tones, as well as the underlying jasmine. I could see myself purchasing this in the future.

And let's not forget the full sized perfume I received. This is Essy Beautiful Dream. On first impressions, I thought it was quite a fresh, cool water like scent. The website describes it as floral with fruity notes. After wearing it for a little while, I worked out that it smells so much like Pantene shampoo! Well, the Aqua Light shampoo that I tried recently anyway. I am loving this perfume and I can see it being one of my go-to daytime perfumes.

Overall, I've had a great experience with SC Perfume and would recommend it to anyone looking to extend their perfume collection. Their prices are very reasonable, and you can't go wrong with $2 testers and free shipping!

Have you tried this website before?

Lust Have It! August 2014 review

Firstly, where the heck have I been?! I do apologize, I've been so busy with uni the past few weeks. I had 5 final exams in the space of 8 days so  life was pretty hectic for a while there. Now that I've finally recovered from that nightmare exam period, I can get back into blogging...

So once again, the Lust Have It August edition* comes housed in the pink zip case. I do think these are a handy storage alternative, compared to the boxes.

Box contents

Bioderma Crealine
Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Wipes
Marsk Eyeshadow Brush
BioElixia Body Shaper Stretch Mark Diminishing Creme
Eleven Australia Miracle Hair Treatment

Bioderma Crealine sample (RRP $29.99 for 250mL)
Ah yes, everyones favourite! I do in fact have Bioderma, but I am really happy to see a mini sized version. It will come in super handy for quick overnight trips :)

Essenzza Wipes in Aloe Vera and Cucumber (RRP $6.95)
I've never heard of this brand before, but I love the comic style packaging. The mini wipes are also a great idea and I think they'll be great to keep in the car/handbag.

Marsk Eyeshadow Brush (RRP $28.95)
While I love my makeup, my brush collection is very minimal. I do have a few eyeshadow brushes, but this is still a welcome addition and I'm sure I'll get some use out of it.

BioElixia Stretch Mark Creme (RRP $39)
I have tried some BioElixia products before and been pretty impressed with them, so I'll be giving this a go. I was actually complaining about my stretch marks to the boyfriend the other day; they're all over my inner thighs/butt/hips! It's like LHI knew about my body hang ups. While I don't totally believe that stretch marks can be 'diminished', that won't stop me from trying.

Eleven Australia Hair Treatment (RRP $24.95)
Soo I am usually a little bit skeptical when it comes to those 'all-in-one' hair products. Since getting red balayage done in my hair a few months ago (which I got touched up today actually!) I've been super selective about what products I use on my hair. Seeing as this helps coloured hair, I'll give it a shot, but I've never really been a big fan of leave-in treatments.

Overall I think this box is awesome, especially as we have seen a few new brands, instead of repeating a lot of the same brands (Aveda, I'm looking at you). I can definitely see myself using all this products in the near future. What were your thoughts of this months box?

If you're new to LHI and would like to subscribe, feel free to use my discount code for your first box :)

FOTN: Cultural gatherings

My family is Bengali, as some of you may know, but it's not very often that I get to dress up in traditional clothing. The Bengali community had a gathering over the weekend and I wore a sari, of course it goes without saying that I had some fun with my makeup too...

Sleek Vintage Romance palette
MAC Lipstick in 'Rebel'
Elf blush in 'Berry Merry'
Ardell Demi Wispies
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation
Mary Lou Manizer

I've used a few barely used products here. The Sleek Vintage Romance palette and MAC lipstick are ones I hardly reach for, not because I don't like them, but because I don't find them suited to everyday use for me. I love the lipstick, its such a beautiful colour and it lasted all night, through eating and drinking. The palette is also lovely, I've used the 2nd shade as the main lid colour and a mixture of the purple and black to deepen the crease/outer corner. Now as for the Ardell demi wispies, these are definitely my favourite falsies that I've ever tried! Application is easier than with others (in my opinion) and they feel light and natural to wear.

Me and a friend rocking our sari's!

I included a full body shot so you can see my sari :)

Thanks for reading! xx

Lust Have It! July 2014

I have been absent for a little while as I was away doing my rural placement for uni for 2 weeks, but now I'm home and exams are looming :( anyway, I'm glad to be able to blog again! I'm not sure when this bag/box arrived as I wasn't home, but apparently it did arrive in July so that's a bonus. Let's check out the contents...

This bag is actually really cute! It's much better than the previous plastic ones. I took one of those away with me for my makeup and the zip was super annoying. The improvement is definitely welcome.

Box contents

Ardell Self Adhesive Lashes
Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion
Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow
Designer Brands Nail Polish

Ardell Self Adhesive Lashes RRP $9.99
I love Ardell lashes! Admittedly I haven't worn falsies in quite some time because I do struggle with applying them, but maybe these ones will be easier to apply. I always find myself carrying glue and mascara in my purse when I'm wearing falsies so I hope these will eliminate that need!

Aveda Botanical Kinetics Hydrating Lotion (sample)
I've seen this before...I wasn't sold on it last time, so I'm not too excited to see it again.

Mary Kay Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover RRP $22
I remember getting a sample size of this in the past? Anyway I gave that away so I might keep this one and give it a go. My current mascara is waterproof (I accidentally bought waterproof) and I find its so annoying to remove so hopefully this will ease my pain.

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow RRP $24.95
Never heard of this brand, but I'm always happy to give new brands a go :) I received the yellow-gold colour called 'Rich List'. It looks really pretty and sparkly which I like. I haven't been wearing eyeshadow much at all lately so maybe this will motivate me to start using it again.

Designer Brands Nail Polish RRP $6.99
Ok, I have to admit that DB makes me cringe a little. I've never tried their polishes and it reminds me of polishes I used when I was younger. The colour I received is called 'Glitterama' and it's actually quite pretty and something I don't have in my collection so I'll definitely give this a go.

Overall I think this box is decent with the inclusion of several full size items. I'm most excited about the lashes and eyeshadow which I feel I will definitely get some use out of.

What are your thoughts on this box?

Don't forget, I have a discount code which will take $5 off your first box if you wish to subscribe :)

FOTN: Girls Night Out

It's always good to have a girls night out and forget about men dramas for a bit! I went out for dinner and drinks with a few of my girlfriends, here is what was involved...

 Mary Lou Manizer
Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Smitten'
Essence Dark Romance Velvet Mousse Blush in 'Red Romance'
Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in 'Ebloui'
Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Mascara (not pictured)
Face of Australia Liquid Liner (not pictured)

I really like how I managed to throw in a few more high end products in with my usual drugstore goodies. The blush is a recent purchase and I am in LOVE! It feels so light weight and blends like a dream. I was blown away by the amazing quality of it. The colour looks a bit scary in pan, but it blends out to a gorgeous red-berry tone. The eyeshadow is also new(ish), I've had it for a while but this is the first time I used it. It's a lot softer than the Maybelline Color Tattoos so I find it easier to work with. The colour is sheer, but buildable, and this one has quite a lot of shimmer. It looks a little bit more cranberry coloured in pan, but it comes out as a more brown based colour. I think I'll be able to wear this a lot! As for the balm stain, I love the gorgeous deep pink it is (brighter than pictured below) and it has really good staying power.

And here is the finished look! I based my makeup around my outfit choice, more specifically the red wine/plum coloured top I was wearing. My drinks for the night also matched ;)

Thanks for reading! Oh, and just a heads up - this weekend, I'm going away to Taree for 2+ weeks to do my uni prac. My schedule will be very busy so I probably won't be able to blog at all, but afterwards hopefully I'll have some exciting topics for you xx
