Rimmel Match Perfection blush

When I saw this Rimmel blush (medium/dark) on sale, I definitely had to buy it.

If you've tried the Stay Matte powder, you'll know that the packaging is flimsy - same goes here, the lid doesn't really stay on very well. That aside, look at how pretty the design is! I almost don't want to ruin it.

I fancied sitting outside in the sun...and taking makeup pictures, of course!

I know a lot of people hate this blush because its not very pigmented and is a bit powdery, but this is one of the reasons I like it. In the morning when I'm rushing to get ready, I find that a pigmented blush may take a bit longer to apply - to blend it out and make sure its not overdone. This blush is great because it can be built up so I don't need to worry about overdoing it! I use my Real Techniques blush brush to swirl the colours together to create a gorgeous deep pink.

There is also a medium and light version which has similar shades but lighter, obviously, but I doubt those colours would show up on me at all!

All in all, I think this is a nice blush if you have a heavy hand when applying blush and if the colours appeal to you. I bought this on sale because I don't think I'd pay full price for it.

Have you tried out this blush?

  1. I know some people complain about how some blushes just aren't pigmented, but you definitely use less time if you just patiently build up the blush! I've seen this Rimmel blush in stores all the time, and always thought how nice the colour combination is!

  2. I prefer less pigmented blush too! I'm so pale that super bright blushes make me look like a clown :( this sounds perfect for me!

    1. Oh I bet it would be hard to find a suitable blush for pale skin. Super bright blushes are scary for me even!

  6. Is it wrong to buy this just to look at it? LOL!

I tend to like really strongly pigmented blushers (if its going to look barely there, I may as well save myself the time) but this sounds fairly promising for a natural flush!

    1. Nope not at all haha! I guess for darker skin tones it makes sense to go for a more pigmented blush :) my skin tone is sort of medium-fair kinda so I get the best of both worlds!
