2013 Makeup Favourites

It's safe to say that in 2013, my makeup collection probably doubled. Many things I bought were quality items, so it was hard to just choose a few, but here are my favourites...

 L-R
Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Bad to the Bronze'
Benefit They're Real Mascara (samples size)
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 'Warm Beige'
Rimmel Apocalips in 'Apocaliptic'
Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 'Natural Beige'

Maybelline Color Tattoo
I was a bit late to discover these, but I'm glad I finally did. This was the first colour I bought (I have about 7 now) and its still my favourite. It's the perfect colour to use when I have no idea what colour to wear on my eyes.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
This was a sample size that I received and I am loving it! It is a fantastic mascara, probably the best I have tried, however it is pricey so I'm not sure if I would purchase it.

A newly released foundation by Revlon which has me singing praises to the streets - I really love this foundation for everyday wear.

Rimmel Apocalips
Remember when these were super hyped up a while ago when they first came out? Of course I had to try for myself! I have a few shades and I do enjoy them, but this one is my favourite for a bright, bold lip. It's a gorgeous bright fuschia colour with great lasting power.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
This works well for my dark under eye circles. It doesn't completely hide them but makes them less obvious. It's a dream to apply, really creamy and smooth. Apparently it is quite similar to YSL's Touche Eclat which is nice to know!

L-R
MAC Lipstick in 'Girl About Town'
Arbonne Makeup Primer
Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in '107'
Nude by Nature Soft Focus Illuminator

MAC Lipstick
I've done a dupe post on this where you can see some swatches. This colour is amazing, a bright fuschia which has excellent staying power, without being drying at all. Love love love.

If you've tried this, then you know what I mean when I say it feels like butter melting into your skin. It is a fantastic primer, worth every cent! Highly recommend.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick
This shade is awesome, its a deep berry colour that almost has a vampy look to it. It has excellent staying power, smells great and is really well priced. I'd recommend this range of matte lipsticks to you if you want great quality at an affordable price.

If you've been following my blog for the past month or so, this should come as no surprise to you! I won't say too much but this is a lovely illuminator that I've been using a lot in the short time I've had it.

What are your thoughts on some of these products?

    1. I put a really small amount on the tip of my finger and dab it along the tops of my cheekbones. I also use my Real Techniques Blush Brush over the top of my cheekbones after applying just to 'buff' it out a bit more so it blends better. But it all depends on your skin colour/type as to what types of illuminators will suit you :)
