April 2014 Empties

Another month, another bunch of empties. I haven't got a lot this month, probably because the last few months have cleared the cupboards a bit...

Dove Original Roll-On Deodorant
Clearasil Vitamins & Extracts Daily Wash
Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Lip Balm
Maybelline Cherry Baby Lips
Swisspers Cotton Pads

Dove Deodorant

This is a must-have for me, it's one of the few deodorants that don't make me super itchy, probably because of them moisturising cream. Have repurchased!

Clearasil Wash

I enjoyed using this, it was my second tube and it was a great wash, but I definitely prefer the scrub. I'm currently giving one of the scrubs away so check out my post! I probably won't repurchase the wash because I'm using the scrub at the moment, but I might come back to it in the future.

Blistex
This is simultaneously the best and worst lip balm I've used. It smells absolutely delicious, like those raspberry lemonade iceblocks and actually tastes nice too...but it is not very moisturising and protecting. It only gives a thin layer which wears away quickly and leaves my lips feeling drier than in the beginning. The stick also began to crumble after a while...so I won't repurchase this.

Baby Lips

Love this lip balm. I've gone through a few tubes and have a few sitting in my drawer from when there are sales on and I can pick them up for under $2. I really do think these are great, but I know opinions are very divided!

Swisspers
Yep, repurchased. The do the job and they do it well. Although the are a tad bit more expensive, I think they are worth it...I bought Coles cotton pads one time and NEVER AGAIN. They were so flimsy and fluffed up so easily. Lesson learnt!

And that's it from me this month. What have you been using up lately?

  1. I had that Blistex stick, loved the scent of it! Used it as a cuticle balm in the end... I always get sick of them and start using a new one but they make the best cuticle cream ever!!

  2. I'm just about to try my clearasil wash, haven't had much luck with cleansers lately, but it's a good sign if you liked it!

  3. Hi hey hello! Thanks for popping over to my blog & being my funky first follower :D

I thought the Clearasil wash was okay, definitely more gentle than my past experiences with Clearasil :)
My favourite cotton pads are the Aldi Makeup Rounds, and the Daiso ones are great too - both are super inexpensive and good quality!

    1. First of many followers no doubt :) I've heard the Daiso ones are good but Daiso is a bit out of my way, so I'll have to pop down to Aldi one day and grab some of those makeup rounds :)

  4. Great empties! I love lipbalms and have finished all 8 types of clear baby lips we have here at least twice each! I've been finishing a lot of shampoos and some skincare!
